Williams & Connolly LLP is currently seeking a Lead Financial and Conflicts System Administrator. This individual delivers critical financial information to our Finance and Accounting department and firm leadership via custom reports, data warehousing and other technologies. This role serves as a subject matter expert for the Aderant Financial system and the Intapp and other risk management systems as well as any integrations with other enterprise systems and will also provide technical direction, strategy, and guidance to the financial and conflicts system engineers.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Job requirements include eight (8) years of related experience, knowledge of IIS (9 and 10), Windows (2016 - 2019) and SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, SSIS, and SSRS in a Microsoft SQL Server environment, C#, VBA, PowerShell and general scripting, and basic Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) concepts.
Successful candidates will have excellent problem-solving skills, a heightened attention to detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities, handle and maintain confidential information. This position will work independently and under own direction and initiative while also motivating and leading a team of system engineers. The ability to lift and carry 20 pounds and sit for long periods of time at a desk are required.
Hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. After successfully completing the introductory period, the candidate will be eligible to work the department's approved hybrid schedule.
This is an exempt position. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Implement strategies to optimize the performance of the Aderant Financial system, Intapp systems, integrations, and potential migration to cloud services;
- Conduct regular performance assessments to develop and implement improvements, based on findings;
- Conduct regular recovery assessments/test to document RTOs/RPO and present solutions for improving RTOs/RPOs;
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system processes and integrations;
- Align the system activities by designing, evaluating, and reporting on system enhancements that aligns with the firm's strategic plan;
- Identify opportunities for enhancing and developing the Aderant and Intapp environments, including evaluating new solutions and automating manual processes with new custom applications and workflows if appropriate;
- Foster an innovative and collaborative environment, while mentoring system engineers and subject matter experts that oversee the Aderant and Intapp systems to enhance their skills and performance;
- Develop ad-hoc and custom reports as requested by Accounting and firm leadership using Microsoft SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and other report writing solutions, if needed;
- Responsible for data tables, UI development, report writing, SQL data queries, technical architecture, and Generic Importer functionality;
- Test and update various scripts/services used in the integration with other enterprise systems as well as in house-developed applications;
- Plan and conduct technical design, software upgrades, security patches for all systems associated with the financial and conflicts system environments, including Aderant, Intapp, Expert applications, legacy applications, Dashboard, etc.;
- Maintain detailed documentation of the Aderant and Intapp environments, including backup and disaster recovery plans; and
- Interact regularly with the IT, Accounting, and Conflicts departments and all appropriate vendors to ensure efficiency and optimal performance of the Aderant and Intapp environment and associated custom applications.
