What are the responsibilities and job description for the PA or NP for a small and growing Family Practice position at Williams Family Medical?
About Us:
Williams Family Medical is a healthcare practice located in Big Rapids, Michigan. We provide medical care with a compassionate, personal approach. With the exciting news of expanding our practice and moving into a new building, we are looking to grow our team by adding another Provider. We are seeking the best fit and therefore open to either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Dr. Williams has always wanted to start her own practice. She has begun this adventure in 2018, to find more satisfaction in the modern healthcare world, for both herself and her patients. Many large medical practices make patients feel like they are just a number and people feel lost in the system. In response to this consistent feedback from her patients, Dr. Williams decided to open clinics in Grand Rapids (where she currently lives) and Big Rapids (her hometown). Dr. Williams believes in offering patients’ choices in healthcare and involving the patient in their own health care plans. She sees patients from birth to geriatrics.
This provider is directly responsible for obtaining each patient’s thorough health history, identifying, and recognizing the severity of their chief complaint, performing a complete physical exam, diagnosing condition(s), managing immediate health care needs, implementing a medical management plan that is appropriate/suitable to the patient’s medical needs, and complete documentation of the above in patient’s chart. Establish a positive rapport with patients, care takers, area specialists, office team and the community. The Provider is authorized to provide medical care without the direct observation and supervision of a Physician. However, the Provider is responsible for consulting a Physician for any situation (s) that is deemed to be beyond the scope of practice/experience of the Provider.
Successful candidates will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail. Our perfect candidate enjoys being part of a small team and takes pride in their career. This position is also responsible for assisting with surgical procedures, assisting with patient care, patient flow, charting in electronic and paper records, nurse call duties, and administrative duties consistent with the Mission and Core Beliefs.
