Position Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be a team member of the Engineering and Development team for new and existing products. This includes the research and design of new heat exchangers, combustion systems, integrating electro-mechanical systems, and other HVAC components. Developing assemblies, BOMs and component integration. Design for manufacturing and efficiency is critical.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead by example with a Safety First mindset in every task
- Engineering new products and the improvement of current products.
- Respond to a build to order manufacturing process.
- Works with sheet metal to design cabinet and enclosures for HVAC equipment.
- Design and Integration of fan coil components, including valves, blowers, coils, and electronics.
- Design in compliance with ASME, ANSI, CSA, UL and DNV standards.
- Provide written and oral updates and necessary information to productions staff, clients, and sales associates.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and procedures; and help promote a results-oriented atmosphere within the company.
- Communicate and work in concert with staff towards successful completion of project and total client satisfaction.
- Consult with management and review project proposals towards project objectives and goals, timeframes, funding limitations, and required resources.
- Develop, adjust and monitor project plans specifying goals, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and allocation of resources.
- Uses established standards and procedures for project reporting documentation.
- Review and prepare project status reports to keep management advised of project status and related issues.
- Lead effort in creative approaches to problem solving and deliver supporting business needs.
- Must perform all work in accordance with all safety procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
