Williams Tree Company is currently seeking a Groundman in Paragon, Indiana for our growing team. As a Groundman, you will be responsible for operating a chainsaw, utilizing a chipper, working with a crew members in a forestry/arborist-modified bucket truck for vegetation management and tree service near central Indiana. Experience with the tree service industry is preferred.
This role will involve working with a crew of 3 individuals to operate as a crew in order to complete your daily assigned work. This position will require an individual to learn and retain a foundational knowledge of proper cutting, pruning, and tree removal work in accordance with utility arborist standards, as well as ANSI and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities
- Reliable, team-oriented individual
- able to understand, give, and follow verbal and written communication
- Experience operating a chipper, chainsaw, ropes/rigging, or bucket truck is preferred, but not required
- Adhere to safety standards and proper pruning techniques
- Maintain accountability of company equipment; perform preventive maintenance on company equipment such as chainsaws, PPE, basic vehicle checks and maintenance, etc.
Qualifications
- 1 years of related experience in the tree care industry preferred, not required
- Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (CDL preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team Player
- Dependability and strong prior attendance record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
