Responsibilities/Expectations:
Land Rep I:
As a Land Representative II, you will negotiate land and property rights for pipelines and facilities and develop and nurture strong working relationships with company partners. Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Meets with landowners or public lands agents to review project plans and negotiate easements or purchase agreements
- Writes and approves legal descriptions; crafts title reports for land parcels, and decides on legal instruments required to acquire property
- Verifies completeness of legal instruments, exhibits, plans, and documents for land acquisition
- Researches public records and other sources to acquire land and market data
- Prepares legal documents, contracts, agreements and exhibits; provides input for permits
- Serves as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies, special interest groups, real estate organizations and landowners
- Supports small to mid-size maintenance and operations projects
- Other duties as assigned
Land Rep I:
- Required: High school diploma/GED
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in oil and gas industry, land, real estate, or legal
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; Senior Right of Way Professional certification
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Demonstrates ability to prepare and interpret contracts
