The Operations Technician Sr. will demonstrate technical expertise and analyze data to find solutions for technical or operational problems. This role will ensure our facility equipment is maintained and pipeline operations are successful. Troubleshooting, problem solving skills and accurate record-keeping are a must, while maintaining safety as a top priority!

Responsibilities / Expectations :
- Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements
- Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
- Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
- Follows all of our policies and applies appropriate procedures
- Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
- Oversees general knowledge of site / location / equipment specific permits and compliance
- Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
- Other duties as assigned
Education / Years of Experience :
Required : High School Diploma / GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facilityPreferred : Associates or 2-year technical degree; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facilityPhysical and Environment Work Requirements :
Must be willing to :
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spacesCarry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as neededStand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of timeWork at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and / or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Use hand toolsShift / Work Hours / Travel Requirements :
Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arisesMay be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight staysMust be within 45 minutes of the compressor station in Sebring, Fl.Other Requirements :

The onshore system consists of a main line natural gas compressor station and 275 miles of onshore pipeline. Annual pipe to soil reading for the Florida Operating areaBi-monthly rectifier reads3-year atmospheric inspectionsExposed pipe inspectionsConducts damage prevention activities, including locating and marking pipelines, coordinating excavations and inspecting line crossings, communicates work with contractorsConducts public outreach and pipeline awareness activities with emergency responders, government agencies, landowners, etc.Conducts pipeline patrols and leak surveysPerforms preventive maintenance on equipment at natural gas compressor stations, meter station and valve yardsWorking with others to become qualified in operating our compressor stationsInvolved in all aspects of maintenance, including rebuilding / maintaining valves, valve operators, engines, compressors, flow measurement / telecom equipment and daily normal operationsParticipates in the on-call rotationOther Requirements :
