A Day in the Life:
As an engineer supporting our Power & Automation team, some of the work you will be doing includes:
- Developing and completing equipment condition-based maintenance programs
- Repairing and improving operational reliability of electrical infrastructure and voltage systems
- Supporting electrical equipment outage and maintenance
- Supporting operation and maintenance of Hp Primary drivers and associated infrastructure
- Maintaining electrical drawings
- Performing electrical reviews of management of change plans and work plans
- Supporting project design review and factory acceptance testing support for electrical systems
- Coordinating and reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
- Developing training programs and training electrical technicians on electrical fundamentals
- Accounts for a diverse range of sophisticated assignments requiring the use of experience, innovation and judgment
- May supervise the work of others
- Demonstrates technical expertise in a specialty, geographic area, or operational function and applies specialized knowledge in the effective completion of large-scope projects
- Prepares and delivers presentations
- Anticipates internal/external customer needs; assesses requirements and identifies solutions
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and improves products, processes or services
- Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
- Champions processes, procedures and safety standards
- Monitors and controls costs and resources associated with projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum seven (7) years of progressive engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry and PE Certification
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
- Preferred: Project Management experience
- Preferred: Proficient in National Electric Code and industry standard methodologies
- Must be willing to travel 25% to 50%
