As a Telecommunications Specialist III/IV, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining an extensive and sophisticated telecommunications network. As always, safety is the highest priority!

Level IV
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Provides technical services to daily operational control of a large complex voice, data telecommunications and LAN/WAN system with technical services
- Installs, troubleshoots, tests and maintains all telecom/network equipment and on-site DC power systems including batteries (12V, 24V, 48V), rectifiers, generators, fuse panels, solar panels and grounding
- Coordinates with SCADA, Gas Control, Network Services, local operations and company partners
- Collaborates with Telecommunications Engineers/Specialists to assure the reliable operations of the Company's Telecommunications assets
- Demonstrates technical expertise in specialties, geographic areas or operational functions
- Applies specialized knowledge to complete projects and/or work assignments
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High School Diploma/GED, technical/trade school certification or military electronics training and minimum eight (8) years' experience in telecommunications, operations or maintenance
- Preferred: Associate's or two-year technical school degree in electronics or military electronics training and valid FCC license, telecommunications certificate or license
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a team environment and can build partnerships with others
Must be willing to:
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Use hand tools
- Must be available for 24-hour call-out and to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
