Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated dental hygienist to join our team at Williamsburg Center for Dental Health. As a part-time dental hygienist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting dental cleanings and exams, and educating patients on oral health and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dental cleanings and exams for patients
- Provide patient education on oral health and hygiene
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Current dental hygienist license in Virginia
- Associate's degree in dental hygiene or related field
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry and dental hygiene procedures
- CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- New graduates welcome
- Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
