The Williamsburg Community School District is seeking a food service director. The food service director position is a really important contributor to the student experience at Williamsburg Schools. By providing healthy and tasty breakfast and lunch to thousands of students each week, the food service department meets a really important need for our students. We are looking for a professional who can join the WCSD team and help make school days a great day for our students and staff. Candidates who best demonstrate the following skills, qualities, experience and expertise will be given highest considered:
- Food service training/experience and/or wellness and nutrition training/experience
- Ability to work with students and adults
- Ability to problem solve efficiently and creatively
- Knowledge of dietary and nutritional elements of a meal
- Willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in school and helping students and staff to be at their best

- Ability to work within federal and state guidelines
- Contribute to hiring and supervision of food service staff
Salary will be commensurate with experience and expertise. Benefits include IPERS (retirement), six paid holidays, life insurance, paid personal, sick, family illness, and paternity/maternity leave, and single health insurance. The contract typically runs about 200 days, concluding in early June with much of the remainder of the summer off.
