Job Summary
In accordance with the Title I, Part A federal grant award, this position supports the implementation of Title I instructional methods and programs. Support is provided directly to schools, teachers, and staff implementing Title I services through professional development training, coaching, observational visits, and collaboration on student acceleration progress. Program monitoring, use of instructional record keeping, and observational records is a key component of the coaching process for increasing program fidelity and student outcomes. This position works in collaboration with various team members in Special Programs, the Title I Coordinator, and the Reading Recovery Teacher Leader to ensure identified Title I students have opportunities for academic success in alignment with grant-specified instructional methods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in on-going professional development and training for the instructional coach role and the content of instructional methods used in Title I services.
- Studies and implements instructional methods used in Title I.
- Teaches small numbers of students in the programs offered to maintain current knowledge and processes of instructional models used in Title I.
- Provides direct on-going professional development as defined in the Title I grant instructional methods.
- Supports implementation of methods with program fidelity.
- Collaborates with the Title I Coordinator, Reading Recovery Teacher Leader, and other Special Programs team members on Title I services, outcomes, and training.
- Collects, maintains, and reviews all required record keeping, instructional forms, and data from programs.
- Oversees and analyzes data monitoring information for student entry and exit outcomes and assists with reports and / or presentations as needed on program delivery progress and outcomes with the Title I Coordinator and Reading Recovery Teacher Leader.

Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds.
