What are the responsibilities and job description for the OSSF Coordinator position at Williamson County?
Reporting to the Environmental Division Director, responsible for performing clerical duties related to supporting various daily operations for the Williamson County On-Site Sewage Facilities Department.
- Provides customer service to customers and staff via telephone, email, or in person
- Reviews and processes all OSSF applications including commercial, residential, and subdivisions and aerobic maintenance requests
- Maintains department records and contracts and oversees retention and storage of department files
- Schedules and coordinates OSSF inspections and collaborates with department leadership on availability and timelines
- Serves as department liaison for designers, installers and public regarding permit status, payments, and other OSSF concerns
- Serves as IT liaison and provides feedback and assistance on department software issues and improvements
- Performs daily financial transactions such as collecting payments, making bank deposits, balancing cash draws, and prepares financial reports for internal and external entities
- Creates and reports various data to state and local agency monthly
- Prepares annual Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) MS4 report and geospatial analysis
- Attends all trainings and meeting as required
- Performs special duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
IRREGULAR HOURS
- Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required
- May be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergency

- Associate degree and five (5) years of administrative experience including technical application processing; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience in researching archive documents and reviewing software improvements
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required within thirty (30) days of employment
- Valid driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Ten (10) years of years of administrative experience including technical application processing
