What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Room position at Williamson County?
Reporting directly to an assigned Manager, Coordinator, Lieutenant, or Sergeant, responsible for providing administrative support to an assigned division. Level I of II in Corrections Office Administrative Specialists.
- Provides coverage at a reception desk to assist visitors and callers
- Ensures comprehensive filing systems are maintained and up to date
- Retrieves, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and fax documents
- Creates and maintains various reports, forms, worksheets, and informational materials
- Enters and verifies data within applicable databases and systems
- Performs special duties as assigned
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to – Sheriff’s Office Manager, Lieutenant, Sergeant, or Coordinator
- Direct Reports – No
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying
- Position may involve working day and/or overnight shifts
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
- Contact with persons accused or convicted of crimes
- Contact with law enforcement officials and public
IRREGULAR HOURS
- Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) may be required
- May be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergency

- High School diploma or equivalent
