Job Description and Performance Standards
As a Perinatal Care Provider, your primary responsibility will be to provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in an environment that prioritizes patient well-being. To achieve this, you will need to perform a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time frame, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
You will also be responsible for planning patient care on an individual basis, handling medications/solutions safely, documenting accurately and timely, reassessing patient conditions, evaluating patient responses, modifying plans of care accordingly, accepting charge responsibilities, assigning staff, and maintaining a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
