Job Summary
This position involves performing cardiopulmonary and neurological diagnostic studies, as well as providing pulmonary therapeutic modalities for assigned inpatients and outpatients at Williamson Health.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a Cardio Respiratory Care diploma or degree from a college or university, or have equivalent experience.
- Be registered or certified by the NBRC, or have 1 year of Respiratory Care experience.
- Have completed equipment and skills training on Network Computer System, Adult, Pediatric, & Infant Ventilators, Office and all areas pertinent to Respiratory Therapy.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
Performance Standards
This position requires:
- Data collection from patient, family, and other healthcare team members.
- Safe administration and documentation of medications and patient response, with no errors or patterns.
- Reporting abnormal findings or critical values according to established policy.
- Reassessing patient condition, evaluating response, communicating with the care team, recommending alternate interventions, documenting accurately and timely, and modifying the plan of care accordingly.
- Functioning independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment, adhering to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment with no pattern or trend of problems.
- Maintaining equipment and supplies, verifying proper function and adequate stock.
- Initiating and maintaining adjunct airways, documented with correct changes.
- Facilitating staff development, including assisting with orientation and training of respiratory personnel, accepting charge responsibilities, and assigning staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirements.
