- Earned a Polysomnographic Technologist diploma or degree form a college or university.
- RPSGT or at least one year of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist experience.
- TN State License Polysomnographic Technologist
- BLS
- Prepares patient physically and psychologically for testing, and provides emotional support.
- Performs procedures according to Williamson Health and Departmental Standards.
- Documents actions taken and patient’s response.
- Provides patient with discharge instructions.
- Prepare completed test for interpretation.
- Prepares and maintains exam room for procedures.
- Maintains equipment and notifies Clinical Coordinator/Maintenance of needed repairs. Notifies Clinical Coordinator of supply needs.
- Attends in-services and other educational programs.
- Assist with the orientation and training of new personnel.
- Demonstrates responsibility for assigned communications or special assignments
- Communicate outcomes and opportunities for improvement in the sleep lab care delivery team/system.
- Maintain position specific qualifications.
