What you'll do
- Support and motivate residents to engage in social, physical, and cognitive activities and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual residents.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of social and recreational activities and programs for residents.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of activities and resident participation.
- Transport residents to and from activities as needed and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
- Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Creative and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
- Knowledge of recreational therapy or related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
