POSITION: AFTERNOON CUSTODIAN
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible, under the supervision of the head building custodian, to ensure that the buildings, facilities, and grounds are maintained in the best condition possible with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Positive attitude
- Exhibit a positive attitude and pride in the work assignment
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions and develop a working knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Flexibility to work on an on-call basis
- Ability to get along with students, other employees, and community members
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning and maintenance of buildings
- Lifting (i.e., desks, paper/book supplies, deliveries)
- Establish and maintain a team atmosphere with custodial staff
- Maintain positive relationships with staff and students
- Maintain custodial equipment
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Operations
SALARY: Per bargaining agreement
