About the Role
The Williamstown Theatre Festival is seeking a seasoned and organized professional to serve as its Company Manager. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our seasonal festival, acting as an ambassador for the organization and welcoming all participants each summer.
As a key member of the Festival's management team, the Company Manager will be responsible for overseeing the well-being and care of the entire Festival community, while upholding the high standards of professionalism required by the organization.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Managing Director and work closely with the Finance Director and Producer to achieve the goals of the Festival.
Main Responsibilities
- Hiring and Staff Management: Lead the process of recruiting and hiring seasonal staff for the Company Management department, ensuring that the team is comprised of highly skilled and motivated individuals.
- Office Administration: Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Company Management office, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Logistical Support: Provide logistical support to Festival staff and participants, ensuring that their needs are met and they have a positive experience at the Festival.
Festival Operations
- Housing and Accommodations: Oversee the arrangement of accommodations for artists and other Festival personnel, working with local vendors to secure the best possible options.
- Travel Arrangements: Manage the travel arrangements for individuals whose transportation is provided by the Festival.
- CORST Union Contract: Ensure compliance with the terms of the CORST union contract.
Community Building
- Company Communication: Develop and disseminate important information to the Festival community, including company-wide announcements and updates.
- Artist Services: Provide support to artists during major productions, ensuring that their needs are met and they have a positive experience at the Festival.
Administrative Support
- Expense Management: Collaborate with the Assistant Managing Director and Finance Director to manage expenses within the Company Management department.
- Professional Development: Embark on a journey of continuous learning and professional growth, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
