Title: Packaging Line - Sausage and Beef Jerky Packaging
Reports to: Plant Manager
Role: The Packaging Line Worker will primarily work as a member of the packaging team in the cooked meats room fulfilling store inventory orders and customer orders – both wholesale / restaurant and retail customer.

Responsibilities (Critical behaviors associated with this role):
Execute responsibilities primarily for the cooked meats room, but also the processing room
- Operate meat cutting equipment (e.g knives, tenderizer, vacuum pack machine, water bath, etc.)
- Work with the team to ensure all store orders and customer orders (wholesale / restaurant and retail customer) orders are filled correctly and in a timely fashion
- Maintain and follow processes of product and box labeling, inventory tracking, and organizing freezer and and cooler storage.
- Proactively maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Execute deer processing during season
- Possess sufficient knowledge of meat cuts and processes
- Actively follow all safety and HACCP guidelines
- Work closely with the Customer Service Representative and Store Manager ensuring efficient internal communication and external communication regarding completion of orders
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Deliver exceptional service while engaging, retaining, and building relationships with customers (as applicable)
- Exceed customers’ expectations with timely and courteous service in providing a friendly environment, which entails greeting and assisting every customer, in addition to all other customer service aspects
- Possess a basic understanding of inventory items
Assist in executing deer season processes
- Understand cut sheets and work orders to ensure customer orders are completed correctly
- Finalize and complete customers’ orders and order pickup
Perform all other necessary duties assigned by supervisor
Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred, previous experience in meat cutting or other related fields
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet all day
- Must be able to work at least 5 days a week (40 hours)
- This position will require dependability, hard work, effective communication, diligence, and a “can-do” teamwork attitude to make every workday successful.
- Required, English speaking
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay will be an hourly rate and will depend on previous experience
- Pay is biweekly
- Schedule: 8-hour dayshift, Monday-Friday, weekend hours may be required / available
