Educational Interpreter
We are seeking a qualified educational interpreter to facilitate communication among deaf and hard of hearing students and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other personnel and to interpret in-service meetings and workshops if requested.
Primary Duties
Provide interpreting services in all areas of the educational environment.- Prepare for daily lessons/school-related activities and preview media for interpreting.
- Maintain ethics and standard of educational interpreting according to the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment guidelines.
- Attend staff meetings and in-services.
Requirements
Associate’s degree required.- EIPA Score of 3.5 required or ability to obtain within a year of hire.
- Ability to interpret academic classes at all academic levels.
Salary will be based on degree(s) and experience.
