Willis Knighton Bossier 3 West med/surg/tele floor is looking for a motivated, organized licensed practical nurse with exceptional assessment and communication skills. Do you want to improve your organizational and critical thinking skills? Working on a med/surg/tele floor will give you this opportunity. Prior hospital nursing experience is recommended, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. This is your opportunity to obtain experience and prepare yourself for an RN degree if interested. The average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6, with the assistance of a nurse aide. The patient population is a mixture of medical, surgical, and cardiac. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, delegation of appropriate tasks to ancillary staff, comprehensive assessments and documentation, communicating with physicians and case managers, patient education, and accurate medication administration. All LPNs receive a comprehensive hospital and unit-specific orientation where they are provided with 1:1 nursing instruction with a preceptor. A sign-on bonus is offered for a 1-year ($3,000) or a 2-year ($5,000) agreement. Working in a med/surg/tele unit will prepare you if you are pursuing an RN degree.
