What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Staff position at Willis Knighton Health?
The pediatric unit is a beautiful, age-appropriate unit designed to provide a safe and cheerful atmosphere for our young patients. Our pediatricians and nursing staff are dedicated to the specialty of pediatric care. The patient population will range from the simplest surgical procedures to the most complex medical conditions. The candidate can expect a patient to nurse ratio of 4 : 1 and, during periods of low census, may be asked to cross train into the adult medical surgical unit. Compassion and a gentle demeanor are a necessity. The nursing staff must provide countless hours of education for the young parents of these children. Support staff is available on this unit, allowing you to spend as much time as possible with your patients. This position will require you to work every other weekend.
