ACLS Valid Driver’s License – required to float between facilities ARRT (for Xray Tech) State license (LSRBTE) is required (for Xray Tech) RCIS (preferred but not required for Xray Tech) NIHSS (as it may be relevant to a Cath Lab role dealing with strokes) Job Details
This traveler will float routinely between Willis Knighton Pierremont (Shreveport, LA) and Willis Knighton Bossier (Bossier City, LA). Beds will depend on facility. Patient Types for RN include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, diagnostic Cath procedures, valvular disease, renal disease, carotid stenosis, limb salvage, peripheral stenosis, thrombosis disease, TAVR, MitraClip, etc. For Xray Tech : coronary diagnostic and complex interventions including (STEMI), cardiogenic shock, Chronic total occlusions valvular disease, Peripheral vascular procedures, structural heart and soon neuro interventions. Job Requirements
RN : 3 years RN experience, at least 1.5 year in Cath Lab within the last year. Xray Tech : 2 years experience. RN must be able to scrub / monitor as well as circulate. Circulating, scrubbing and / or hemodynamic monitoring for cardiac & peripheral vascular. Must have seen most of what is on the list. Please add in offer any case type the traveler has not done. Other skills required - Vasoactive drug administration, sedation administration, critical patient assessment skills, sterile technique, air management, Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, Pnumbra, Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy. Schedule Information
Typical schedule - Monday-Friday : 0700 to 1530. Weekend rotation - approximately every 3rd weekend. Call required : Rotating - 2 days a week overnight 1500 to 0700 and every 3rd weekend - Friday 1500 to Monday 0700. Holiday Expectations : done in rotation. Shift times : Monday – Friday,0700–1500 with (2) call overnights per week. Schedule cycle : 4 weeks. Unit Specific Information
Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 Support on the Unit : Charge RN Technology / Equipment : EMR : Meditech Expanse, IV pumps : Alaris, Medication dispensing : Pyxis, Monitors : Merge hemodynamic monitoring systems, Equipment : Philips imaging systems,quite a bit of ancillary equipment (IVUS, EKOS, FFR, Laser). Orientation : 1 week at Innovation Center, Up to 1 week of precepting / unit orientation. Other notes : Scrub Color : Pewter, Parking : Free. Additional Details
