We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Williston Care Center , specializing in subacute rehabilitation. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized therapy plans aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing the quality of life for our patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and medical issues, following the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to promote healing and improve function.
- Patient Education : Instruct patients and their families on exercises, use of assistive devices, and strategies to enhance mobility and independence.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other therapists, to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Equipment Management : Ensure that all therapy equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
- Compliance : Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
