Summary
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for Desktop Delivery Architect to support the Information Technology department. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.
The Desktop Delivery Architect will be responsible for reviewing existing architecture and configuration plans and provide a detailed assessment of a product’s current or planned configuration and make recommendations to reduce the time needed for successful deployments or migrations, advise business users on best practices for Windows Desktop architecture, design, development, or integration processes to reduce future problems and conduct root cause analysis of critical situations.

Responsibilities
- Partner with client stakeholders to translate business requirements into solutions to deploy, upgrade, or migrate to the latest Microsoft technologies
- Review existing architecture and configuration plans and provide a detailed assessment of a product’s current or planned configuration and make recommendations to reduce the time needed for successful deployments or migrations
- Advise business users on best practices for Windows Desktop architecture, design, development, or integration processes to reduce future problems
- Conduct root cause analysis of critical situations and make recommendations and plans for preventing recurrences
- Collaborate to examine ticket trends and identify recurring issues and common threads
- Analyze issues and engineer changes to proactively prevent and solve current problems
- Lead reactive troubleshooting or proactive service delivery, such as a risk assessment or a health assessment
- Act as the SME through design, implementation, and support of solutions with Windows Desktop
- Stay abreast of new technologies and application releases
- Articulate effectively to both technical and non-technical resources across all levels of an organization
- Participate in problem analysis and assist in determining strategic software solutions and enhancements to address identified issues
- Support and implement changes for Azure Active Directory
- Implement and support Windows Virtual Desktop service in Azure
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Microsoft: Windows Server, Power Shell, Active Directory, GPOs
- SCCM 2016 product experience required, including experience with Windows 10 unattended deployment, software updates, and software deployments and upgrades
- SCOM 2016 product experience preferred, including experience with application and health monitoring using management packs
- Experience with the installation , configuration and administration of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2016
- Experience with application /network performance and availability monitoring
- Experience using the Microsoft Windows PowerShell scripting engine to automate tasks with SCOM
- Expert knowledge of VDI Image Management – creation, updates, versioning and provisioning of VDI images
- Working knowledge of AppSense is preferred
- Working knowledge of VDI (Citrix preferred): XenApp 7.x, XenDesktop 7.x, HDXInsight, NetScaler, Storefront, VMWare Horizon View
- Working knowledge of VMware: vSphere ESXi
- Scripting skills in VBScript or PowerShell

- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals

Pay Range
USD $190,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.Pay Range Statement
The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
