Summary
Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP’s New York office is looking for an HRIS Intern to support and work alongside our HRIS Solutions Architect in our Talent Management Department. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,200 lawyers located in 15 offices in six countries.
The HRIS Intern will be responsible for assisting the HRIS Solutions Architect with our UKG platform as well as other administrative and analytical projects. The ideal candidate will have advanced excel skills and eagerness to learn. Candidates should be willing to commit to a minimum of 20 hours a week for a yearlong, part-time internship.

Responsibilities
- Support with several routine HRIS administrative tasks such as:
- Reporting: Assist with the creation, administration, testing, and upkeep of reporting in UKG’s People Analytics platform.
- System Administration/Configuration: Work with HRIS Solutions Architect in configuring and administering UKG related changes
- Project support: Work with the HRIS Solutions Architect and other staff personnel as needed to provide support with various project deliverables.
- Surveys and reviews: Help create and maintain various surveys and/or reviews in platforms such as SurveyMonkey or VI Desktop.
- UKG Case Support: Work with UKG when needed by creating and staying up to date with new and existing cases.
- Process and Project Documentation: Assist in the creation of process documentation in relation to HRIS procedures as well as long term HR solutions planning.
- Provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys and staff while maintaining communication with attorneys and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned from manager or additional team members.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, namely MS Excel and MS Word. Visio knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency/experience in reporting and analytics – the ability to catch on quick to new data tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills- ability to juggle multiple projects with changing deadlines.
- Effective communication, in an in- person or virtual environment.
- Ability to commit to a year-long internship
ADA Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances.
- Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals.
- Ability to carry light to moderate objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance.
- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 15 lbs. on occasion
