Learning Program Manager- Learning Technology
The Learning Program Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Global Learning and Development to oversee the requirements development, implementation, management, and optimization of digital learning platforms and technologies. This role ensures that learning technology delivers effective and scalable learning experiences and supports and enhances the organization’s learning and development (L&D) strategy. The Learning Technology Program Manager will work closely with teams such as instructional designers, HR Partners, IT, Business Leaders, HR Operations and Data Analytics to select, integrate, optimize, and manage the Learning Technologies. Must have LMS & LXP. Experience with Degreed, Workday Learn, LinkedIn Learning would be a great addition. Hybrid in Boston OR Lawrence.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology & Process Implementation:
· Contribute to the strategy and strategic vision for the deployment, integration, and maintenance of learning technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), content delivery, development platforms, assessment and collaboration tools. (e.g. Workday Learning, Degreed LXP, LinkedIn Learning, Power Apps, COE SharePoint sites, eLearning authoring tools like Articulate Rise, Vyond, and other Content Library Providers)
· Evaluate and recommend new learning technologies, ensuring they meet organizational requirements for functionality, security, and scalability.
· Program manage the processes for new learning technology requirements development, COE implementation roadmaps, and execution of the implementation.
· Design and implement learning technology processes and SOPs that sustain the work needed to ensure the learning technology ecosystem supports the Talent COE function.
Platform Management & Optimization:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of learning platforms, including user management, troubleshooting, and content delivery.
· Oversee integration of third-party tools, plugins, and content into the LMS and other learning platforms.
· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with vendors to ensure high availability and functionality.
Learning Experience Design:
· Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to support the deployment of engaging, technology-driven learning experiences.
· Ensure that learning technologies are optimized for accessibility, user experience (UX), and learner engagement.
· Lead and support the deployment plans for all technology-enabled learning assets.
Data, Analytics, & Reporting:
· Establish and monitor KPIs related to learning technology usage, learner engagement, and system performance.
· Provide data-driven insights and reports to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes.
· Ensure the collection and management of learner data adheres to organizational and regulatory data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR).
Technical Support & Training:
· Serve as the primary or escalated point of contact for technical support related to learning technologies.
· Develop and deliver training sessions, user guides, and documentation for administrators, instructors, and learners.
· Support onboarding of new users and provide ongoing technical assistance to internal teams and external learners.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
· In collaboration with the Learning & Development team, manage contracts and relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational needs.
· Participate in contract negotiations, budgeting, and vendor selection for new learning technology tools and platforms when needed.
Compliance & Security:
· Ensure learning technologies comply with internal policies, security standards, and data protection regulations.
· Oversee regular audits and updates to ensure platforms meet technical, regulatory, and security requirements.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage Learning software updates, patches, and system enhancements.
Skills Required:
· Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of deploying and maintaining learning technologies such as LXPs, LMS, e-learning tools, virtual classrooms, and collaboration platforms.
· Project Management: Lead complex learning technology implementations and integrations leveraging project management tools and philosophies.
· Execution: Demonstrate strong execution of assigned projects to meet deadlines and achieve goals. Manage multiple projects effectively, balancing multiple priorities and resources.
· Analytical Mindset: Develop robust dashboards and visuals, utilizing data for decisions, improving system performance, measuring learner engagement.
· Problem-Solving: Analyze complex issues and proactively develop effective solutions that drive successful outcomes.
· Proactive Mindset: Ability to conduct thorough testing of learning technologies to ensure functionality, performance, and user experience align to outlined requirements.

· Platform Management: Implementing and managing enterprise-level LMS and LXP platforms.
· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with API integrations, SSO, cloud-based learning platforms.
· Learning Analytics: Strong analytical mindset with experience developing robust dashboards and utilizing data and data tools to drive decisions, improve system performance, and measure learner engagement
· Compliance: Understanding GDPR, SCORM/xAPI, data security protocols.
Requirements :
7-10 years of learning technology experience
· BA degree in Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience managing learning technology.
· Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or certifications in specific learning technologies (e.g., Workday Learning, Articulate) a plus
· Knowledge of emerging technologies in the learning space (e.g., AI-driven learning platforms, Machine Learning for training)
· Experience working in a large, global organization preferred
