Willoughby Veterinary Hospital is a veterinary small animal practice that has been open and operating for just over 6 years. The practice has been in the community however for over 35 years. We practice the highest quality care for our clients and their small animal pets providing the best medical, surgical, and dental care possible. Our focus is on building relationships with our clients and the animals that we care for. Our well equipped clinic includes digital x-rays, digital dental X-rays, in house blood work, handheld ultrasound and grade 4 laser. All experience levels are welcome to apply! We welcome graduating Veterinarians to start their careers here, ensuring a high-level of support and guided mentorship! All Veterinarians will find interesting, diverse, and challenging cases, with manageable caseloads and a fair Work-Life balance. No emergencies and 1 – 2 maximum Saturdays a month. Our clinic promotes personal and professional growth for our employees by providing a respectful, educational, and fun workplace environment. We treat our team and clients as family and that is the most important to the owner and staff.

Requirements:

• Licensed Michigan Veterinarian (active and clear)
• Experience preferred but not required – All Experience Levels considered
• Dental experience/interest preferred

Skills

• Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
• Availability to take evening or weekend shifts in cases of emergency
• Patience and a love for animals
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
