Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Independent Contractor Psychotherapist to join our mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities, particularly those addressing trauma. This role involves providing individual and family therapy, occasional crisis management, and case management to clients facing diverse challenges. The candidate will also have the opportunity to learn about and incorporate play therapy into their practice, if desired. The candidate should also have passion for their work and the ability to practice with clinical autonomy.
Position includes:
- Contractor agreement is reviewed and updated by an attorney to meet current 2024 federal guidelines
- Hybrid of insurance and private pay based practice, so never short for clientele
- Fully flexible schedule
- Small (2 clinicians currently) well established practice with a solid reputation
- 2 fully furnished office locations (South Mpls and Plymouth) & virtual options too
- Well stocked dedicated Play therapy space
- EHR, virtual platform, billing and credentialing provided
- Play Therapy supervision and clinical work opportunities, if interested

- Autonomy to practice as you want, select clients that are a good fit
- Encouragement and training to transition to your own full time practice, if desired

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs.
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments.
- Engage in crisis management, as needed, to support clients in acute distress.
- Facilitate case management services, coordinating care with other healthcare providers as needed.
- Utilize telehealth platforms (provided) to deliver therapy sessions remotely when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-9 standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, MFT or related field
- Valid licensure as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC or LP in the State of MN
- Proven experience in providing psychotherapy
- Familiarity with case management processes and crisis intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of trauma therapy modalities
- Proficiency in telehealth practices and technology for remote counseling sessions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining client records.

Pay: $75.00 - $120.00 per hour
