Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all necessary items are available for each table, including condiments and utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and presentation of food items.
- Handle food with care, adhering to all food safety and handling standards.
- Utilize POS systems (such as Aloha POS) for order tracking and communication with the kitchen.
- Support banquet operations as needed, ensuring that all events run smoothly.
- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
