Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, and teaching hospitals. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care principles, physiology knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of patient health status.
- Provide support in outpatient settings and assist with hospital medicine tasks as needed.
- Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Engage in patient service activities, ensuring a high level of care and comfort for all individuals.
- Work effectively within a team environment while also being able to function independently when required.
- Participate in training programs related to working with individuals with developmental disabilities and other specialized care areas.
Qualifications
- Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification is required.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is preferred.
- Experience in assisted living, ICU, or hospital settings is an advantage.
- Familiarity with outpatient care processes is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.
