What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Outside Services Attendant position at Willow Oaks Country Club?
Do you love golfing? We are seeking hard working, self-motivated, dependable applicants who are professional, have high energy, and a positive attitude to work within our Golf Department. The Outside Services Golf Attendants play a key part of our Golf Operation. They are responsible for providing a professional Bag Drop experience as well as providing golf carts and range balls for Members and guests while keeping all work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
Those in this position have strong communication skills and can greet, engage and assist members and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Our golf course is opened Tuesday-Sunday with available shifts from 6:30am-1pm and 12pm-8pm. Strong candidates will have availability on the weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet members and guests warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment in the golf shop.
- Assist customers with retail purchases, including recommending merchandise and processing transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the golf shop, ensuring displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about tee times, club services, and upcoming events.
- Assist with tournament and event preparations, including setting up displays, scorecards, and registration.
- Monitor and manage tee sheet reservations and coordinate with golf staff for scheduling.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and follow proper financial procedures.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, adhering to club standards and policies.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in a golf shop, retail, or customer service role preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of golf and golf-related merchandise is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
We are looking to fill year round, part-time positions, however we can also accommodate those seeking a temporary position. Temporary positions are available through late fall/early winter. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test prior to starting. Rate of pay is $13/hour for this position and includes uniforms, free lunch & dinner daily.
