Your Role with the Company:
- Oversee all aspects of the wine program, including purchasing, cost control, cellar organization, and supplier relationships
- Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list, including pairings, by-the-glass options, and bottle selections
- Provide expert wine service during evening shifts, assisting guests with selections and ensuring world-class service
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create thoughtful wine pairings for menu updates
- Manage wine inventory, conduct monthly counts, and maintain updated bin locations for accuracy
- Mentor FOH staff on all beverage offerings, including wine, cocktails, beer, tea, and coffee, fostering their professional growth
- Host monthly staff meetings to review the wine program and lead training sessions for the wine and non-alcoholic beverage programs
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, scheduling tastings and introducing new products to enhance beverage offerings
- Ensure cellar and wine station cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance, including refrigeration and air conditioning systems
Qualifications
- 2 years of beverage supervisory experience at a 2 or 3-starred Michelin establishment
- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a commitment to fostering team collaboration
- Expertise in wine, including pairing, service, and an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings
- Strong multitasking abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and cost management tools
- Excellent command of English, with a working knowledge of wine-related terminology in other languages
