Willow Valley Associates is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Laundry Specialist to join our team at our Hampton Inn & Suites Mt Joy location. If you have a passion for hospitality and a knack for keeping things fresh and clean, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role:
As a Laundry Specialist, you will be the unsung hero behind the scenes, ensuring our guests enjoy the freshest linens and the fluffiest towels. Your day will be filled with the hum of laundry machines and the satisfaction of knowing you’re making a difference in our guests' stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mix and Match: Mix dyes and bleaches according to formulas for specified articles.
- Pre-Wash Magic: Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solutions to precondition them for washing.
- Load and Go: Pull dirty linen from laundry chutes, load articles into washers and dryers, and set the appropriate cycles.
- Dry and Fold: Lift clean, wet articles from washers, place them into dryers, and fold dried articles according to identification numbers or type.
- Stock and Deliver: Bring clean laundry to floors as needed and stock linen shelves.
- Inventory Check: Sort and count articles to verify quantities on laundry lists and conduct inventory as requested by the Team Leader.
- Guest Experience: Provide a superior experience to all guests by giving warm hospitality and executing ways to exceed expectations.
- Flexibility: Adjust schedules to meet the seasonal demands of the hospitality industry.
- Team Player: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: No experience or training required.
- Certificates and Training: Hilton Brand Training required upon hire.
- Safety First: Follow Willow Valley's safety policies and procedures, promoting safety and identifying areas for improvement.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand and walk, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
