What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at WILLOWICK ASSISTED LIVING?
Background: The Housekeeper is responsible for the regulatory compliance, safety, and cleanliness of the environment including resident units and common spaces. This is a full-time position located in Clinton, WI.
Accountability & Job Requirements:
Job Roles & Duties:
- Comply with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures
- Clean resident units and common spaces according to the cleaning schedule
- Clean common areas according to the cleaning schedule
- Demonstrate compliance with infection control and safety practices at all times
- Report needs for housekeeping supplies and chemicals
- Detail units at the time of resident discharge to ensure all vacant units are tour-ready within 48 hours of discharge
- Process housekeeping requests and document actions promptly; retain completed requests in the housekeeping binder
- Maintain par levels of housekeeping chemicals and supply
- Maintain a calm, helpful approach with clients, families, care staff, physicians, referrers, etc. even in times of extreme stress and unpredictable situations
- Any other task as assigned by the immediate supervisor or the corporate team
- Participate on quality assurance committee as needed for environmental issues or concerns
Mandatory Physical and Ancillary Requirements:
- Use and demonstrate housekeeping/maintenance equipment in a safe approved manner
- Stand and walk 50% to 75% of an eight-hour shift
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to function independently and in ambiguous, fluid situations
