Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has been part of the Great Barrington community for more than 40 years, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care in The Berkshires. Nestled in a hill in a quiet residential setting, all of our rooms overlook blooming greenery with either the surrounding woods or our well-maintained patios.
Director of Nursing Plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility. Essential Job Functions :

- Director of Nursing directs the nursing service department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Maintain written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
- Director of Nursing will maintain a reference library of materials to assist the nursing service department in meeting the day-to-day needs of the resident.
- Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and nursing service objectives and philosophies.
- DON makes recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary / required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
- Director of Nursing will coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care.
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary.
Director of Nursing DON salary is based on experience
