Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and serving of meals in a healthcare setting, ensuring that all dietary needs are met for our patients. Your contribution will be vital in promoting health and wellness through proper nutrition while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
**The hours for this position would be 5:30AM-1:30PM or 6AM-2PM **
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and individual patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food production and handling.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables after meals.
- Support the dietary department by organizing food supplies and assisting with inventory management.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, addressing any dietary concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and delivery.
- Participate in training sessions related to food safety, customer service, and dietary practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on helping others.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food production techniques is a plus.
- Willingness to learn about dietary needs specific to hospital settings.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.
