Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Annual Salary: $50,000-$60,000

Purpose: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing marketing and communication campaigns to enhance the organization’s brand, engage key audiences, and support strategic goals. This role manages digital and print content, social media, events, marketing materials, and donor communications.

Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years’ full-time experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations role. Nonprofit experience is a plus but not mandatory. Degree in communications marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Candidate must be a dynamic, creative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for marketing, storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Suite, Word, Excel, and website management tools such as website CMS (WordPress, Wix, etc.), and analytics tools (Google Analytics).
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.) and content creation.
- Ability to produce videos, presentations, and engaging social media content.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills for content creation (press releases, newsletters, social media, website updates).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Free of any communicable disease or health condition that could be transmitted to clients.
- Reliable transportation, current vehicle insurance and valid driver’s license
- Personal vehicle available for on the job travel to events, client homes, etc.
- Ability to attend events, job required visits at various locations that may or may not be accessible.
- Ability to see and hear as necessary based on job duties.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Successfully pass all required background checks and alcohol/drug screenings for the position.
- Campaign Planning: Develop and execute marketing plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Content Development: Create and manage content for newsletters, reports, social media, and other publications.
- Social Media Management: Oversee the organization's social media presence, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
- Event Coordination: Plan and support events, including forums and photography shoots.
- Media Relations: Research and monitor media, build media contacts, and track coverage.
- Branding: Develop and maintain branding guidelines to ensure consistency.
- Training: Provide marketing and communications training to staff as needed.
- Reporting: Generate reports on marketing campaigns, media coverage, and engagement.
- Website Management: Maintain and update website content for accuracy and relevance.
- Donor Cultivation: Manage donor communications and maintain donor database.
The main office is located in St. Charles, MO.
Client homes and events are throughout the St. Louis and St. Charles County area
