MAKstride Prosthetics, a division of WillowWood Global, is a production level shop specializing in production of prosthetic feet and components used by amputees around the world. This position is first-shift and is located in Mesa, Arizona.
Job Summary
We are looking for a CNC machine operator / machinist capable of running CNC mills and lathes. Experience with HAAS a plus. Materials will be mainly Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Operates CNC lathe and CNC mill
- Deburring parts
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and makes adjustments as needed
- Performs dimensional validation using various measurement methods and tools, including optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, etc.
Essential Skills Required
- Previous experience in a job shop or production manufacturing environment. Training provided on specific CNC machine operations
- Must be capable of reading blueprints, dimensional data, surface locations, and interpreting geometrical dimensions and tolerancing
- Must have 20 / 20 corrected vision
- Good work ethic (timely, focused, "hard working")
- Strong oral communication

- Reliable
Optional Skills / Future Training
- Some HAAS CNC milling and lathe operation experience a plus, but not required
Physical and Other Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to effectively communicate: receive instructions, guidance and provide feedback to leaders and team members. The team member will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch all day and include the ability to frequently lift/carry items over 50 pounds. The vision requirements include having 20/20 vision (correctable with glasses or contact lenses), close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the team member to wear required protective equipment that may include but not limited to: Eye protection, hearing protection, goggles, back brace, safety boots, and gloves.
Required Education and Experience
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Frequent overtime and weekend work is required as part of expected duties to fulfill deadlines and outstanding PO's.
