Location - Remote - New York, Michigan or Texas
Monday to Friday - 8AM to 4PM
Description of Role:
The Import Analyst will ensure that International Air and Ocean imports are cleared promptly and efficiently through Canada/US Customs through the coordination of import and export shipping activities necessary to release freight.
- Clear shipments electronically through Customs
- Confirm entries.
- Ensure all entries are submitted during time limits to avoid penalties.
- Answer all client inquiries via phone or email in a timely and courteous manner.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, preparing mail and data entry.
- All other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 2-3 years releasing goods in a customs brokerage environment as an HVS Import Analyst – AIR/OCEAN
- Customer Service experience in an office environment
- Exposure to the Transportation industry an asset
- CCS designation is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office, database and data entry skills is required.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required.
- Problem solving, accuracy, and attention to detail is required.
