Route Driver/Sales

This sales support position is responsible for deliveries to customers in a timely fashion while ensuring efficient, professional, and consistent service to satisfy customer needs. The position requires operation of delivery vehicles on roadways, following proper processes, procedures, and the day-to-day requirements of the job. Candidate is required to maintain acceptable driving record and comply with both physical and administrative requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery truck with total capacity of less than 28K to deliver products to customers in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring load is secured to prevent loss or breakage while complying with DOT regulations
• Ability to deliver and handle packages/products averaging 40 lbs in weight. Average route consists of 10 stops / 25 packages / approx. 5 days a week during peak season months (MARCH-NOVEMBER)
• Ability to read and evaluate sales orders to ensure accurate products are delivered to each customer
• Delivery of product to customer-designated areas in a timely manner protecting against breakage, theft and any mishandling of product
• At times receive, verify, and safeguard all payments for products ensuring safe, accurate and complete money transactions
• Communication with management and sales personnel to satisfy customer needs and reporting any issues during the route
• Report, document, and when necessary correct any order errors/shorts/discrepancies to maintain good customer service
• Must maintain all driver logs and assist with all pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment identifying any maintenance issues with the vehicle(s)
• Keep interior of truck organized, clean and smoke free

• Must exhibit professionalism with customers at all times and represent the company in proper attire.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and compliance
• Maintain flexible schedule, complete work in a timely, accurate manner, be reliable and accountable
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Experience:

• Truck driving: 2 years (Preferred)
