Head Tennis Coach
The Wilmington Area School District seeks a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for our Tennis program.
Job Summary:
This is a coaching position responsible for overseeing the district's tennis program, including planning, organizing, and directing practices and competitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the sport, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct tennis practices and competitions
- Recruit, select, and supervise team members
- Maintain accurate records of player participation, attendance, and progress
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Physical Education, Exercise Science, etc.)
- Proven experience as a tennis coach or in a related role
- Valid athletic coaching certifications
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members
