FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER
Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage and General Manager
Summary: The F&B Manager will help oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all pertinent events at Judy Johnson Field at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Throughout the offseason, this role transitions to assist Director of Stadium Operations with off-season facility projects.
Major Job Duties Include but are not Limited to:
- Oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all Blue Rocks home games and required special events
- Oversee and ensure Fan/Guest Satisfaction and Experience through delivering a remarkable experience
- Consult with Director of F&B and Blue Rocks Management to plan and determine event requirements, including number of guests, picnic/event location and menu
- Oversee preparation of the venue for the picnic to ensure correct set up and cleanliness
- Sets up and arranges tables and chairs, serving stations, lines, tableware, serve ware, and silverware
- Ensure the venue is clean and that food is handled in a sanitary manner
- Address problems or complaints concerning food or services provided
- As required, may assist with scheduling and planning of other aspects of the event, including set up, detail meetings, etc.
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule catering staff
- Ensure that members of the catering staff interact with fans/guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Perform other related duties as required
Required Skills & Abilities:
- The ability to work normal business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and all Blue Rocks home games (extended hours)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of event planning and catering requirements
- Ability to work with clients to determine and anticipate needs of the event
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work at a fast pace.
- Extensive knowledge of food hygiene.
- Required training and certifications in handling alcoholic beverages.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Environment:
- This position requires work within a non-traditional atmosphere. The ideal candidate should be ready to function in a busy and high-noise environment with anticipated exposure to sun and occasional inclement weather
Required Experience:
- Three years of experience in food service
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds at a time
- Ability to work in varying conditions (cold, rain, heat, loud environments, etc.)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations
