Assistant Professor of Business Management
Basic Function :
Full-time, 9-month non-tenure track faculty position. Wilmington College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Business Management on our main campus in Wilmington to begin August 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Represent the college professionally in all interactions
- Possess innovative teaching and faculty committed to engaging pedagogies for both in person and online delivery modalities
- Collaborative and interdisciplinary endeavors
- Provide hands on experiences to our students through advising internships, practicums or experiential career preparation projects
- Adhere at all times to the policies and procedures of the program and the college
- Fulfill all teaching assignments 3 classes per semester (24 credit hours per academic year), while maintaining a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment :
Courses to be taught include but are not limited to :
Strategic Management
Introduction to Management and Organizations
Entrepreneurship
Human Resources Management
Performance Standards :
1. Meets objectives in a timely and effective manner and strives to fulfill the college's strategic agenda.
2. Coordinates effectively with other Business faculty and staff and with other college departments / employees.
3. Strives for excellence in the performance of responsibilities and in meeting the needs of students served.
4. Knows and observes college and departmental policies, guidelines and procedures.
