Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much respected school in Wilmington, DE who are currently seeking Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist Assistants to assist them on a contractual basis.
Details of the position include:
Locations: Wilmington, DE
Start: ASAP
Duration: 25/26 school year
Facility Type: School
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 37.5/hrs a week hours vary depending on assigned school.
Requirements: Caseload will vary depending on assigned school. Can be discussed throughout interview process. Typical SLPa duties assessment, evaluation, and treatment of speech disorders. Attend IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives. Hours will be supervised by an SLP.
Educational Requirements:
Complete an associate's degree in a speech-language pathology assisting program or a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders, speech-language pathology, or a related field.
Licensure/Certification:
Depending on where you live, you may need to obtain a license or certification to practice. For example, in the United States, many states require licensure, and you can also pursue the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification as an SLPA.
Certification often requires passing an exam, fulfilling education and training hours, and possibly completing continuing education credits.
Pay Rate: $33 - $38 depending on experience
