Purpose:

Ensure all patient information including, but not limited to, patient demographic, insurance information, HIPAA, payments and charges, are entered into the computer system in a timely manner and accurate basis as directed by Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist the clinical as well as administrative staff by ensuring that accurate demographic information and charges are entered into the system
  • Review financial reports & information provided by Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager
  • Review and approve routine supply orders
  • Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with interview of employee candidates
  • Provide training for new employees and re-education of current personnel
  • Communicate to staff goals, objectives, policies and procedures
  • Communicate weaknesses and improvements to staff
  • Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with preparation and communication of employee performance evaluations
  • Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with review of employee vacation and time off requests and provide required coverage
  • Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with review, edit, and approval for employee time and attendance
  • Review daily and monthly reports
  • Review and adjust payment posting
  • Review and approve duplicate accounts
  • Continually review processes, policies, and procedures for appropriateness
  • Investigate new technologies for improved efficiencies and effectiveness of department
