Purpose:
Ensure all patient information including, but not limited to, patient demographic, insurance information, HIPAA, payments and charges, are entered into the computer system in a timely manner and accurate basis as directed by Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the clinical as well as administrative staff by ensuring that accurate demographic information and charges are entered into the system
- Review financial reports & information provided by Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager
- Review and approve routine supply orders
- Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with interview of employee candidates
- Provide training for new employees and re-education of current personnel
- Communicate to staff goals, objectives, policies and procedures
- Communicate weaknesses and improvements to staff
- Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with preparation and communication of employee performance evaluations
- Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with review of employee vacation and time off requests and provide required coverage
- Assist Business Office Supervisor and or Business Office Manager with review, edit, and approval for employee time and attendance
- Review daily and monthly reports
- Review and adjust payment posting
- Review and approve duplicate accounts
- Continually review processes, policies, and procedures for appropriateness
- Investigate new technologies for improved efficiencies and effectiveness of department
