Job Summary
Wilmington Health, the largest group practice in the Wilmington area is seeking an Audiologist to join our ENT team. Our current team includes 2 audiologist and 3 ENT physicians that care for patients in our Wilmington and Jacksonville outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing and balance disorders, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our practice. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of anatomy and medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations to assess hearing and balance disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with fellow Audiologist, ENT physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold aseptic techniques in all clinical procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and questions promptly.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to the auditory system and medical terminology relevant to audiology.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Previous experience working in a patient care setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records, for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities.
