What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) position at Wilmington Public Schools?
Serve as district wide BCBA serving as a consultant on individual students and district wide programs. The BCBA is a member of the IEP team and will participate in the development of the IEP including writing behavioral goals and objectives.
•Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments, presents findings and develop recommendations as needed
•Participates in Team meetings and the written development of IEP’s
•Provide Professional Development on the implementation behavioral interventions and provides training to staff and parents/teachers
•Develop and monitor behavior support plans
•Collect, analyze data and adjust programming interventions as needed
•Provide support to general education and/or special education students
•Create data sheets, lead and assist in data collection and analyze data in order to enhance student performance in skill acquisition
•Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, parents, building administrators and outside agencies in order to provide consistency in programming
•Respond to behavioral crisis as needed, and willing to be Safety-Care trained
•Experience in utilizing the ACE curriculum preferred
•Experience working as a collaborative consultant with educators, administrators, and parents and using data to make informed decisions about students
