About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Investment Advisor to join our team at Wilmington Savings Fund Society. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and knowledge in investment management.
The Junior Investment Advisor will support Senior Investment Advisors/Investment Advisors with client and portfolio management, including meeting preparation, materials, and research. They will also be responsible for working with individuals and institutions to formulate investment plans, which will be documented on the Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, as well as a fundamental knowledge of financial planning principles. They will also have strong written and verbal skills and be able to handle difficult client and management messages with tact and firmness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client portfolios in accordance with established goals and objectives.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients and their advisors to develop a complete understanding of their needs.
- Proactively communicate with clients to regularly review goals and objectives and reaffirm the appropriateness of the current investment plan.
- Complete annual reviews and work to align portfolios with approved security lists and investment parameters.
- Identify new business opportunities from existing clients, prospects, and centers of influence.
